After he was born, his father abandoned him and his mother died before he was three. This left Edgar Allan Poe a foster child. Poe s father was an alcoholic and an insovent actor. Although, in â€Å"The Raven† gives us few clues about his financial situation; we don’t know if he’s renting a room in which he sits or if he owns the entire house, nor do we know the condition of the velvet curtains or his velvet chair; since the beginning his control is in question, he is easily spooked and seems unable to control his thoughts about Lenore. Thus, the reader unlikely to mistake one of these characters for another, as they all have different monetary situations and distinct character attributes. Regardless, all this difference, there are similarities too between the main characters of Poe’s works. Poe’s main characters all share the bond of insanity. Prescription drugs are being used for nonmedical purposes and it is becoming so common that it has been deemed an epidemic. Literature suggest that prescription drug abuse among college students is high. This could be due to the stressful environments college students are placed in. Prescription drugs will be discussed broadly but in some instances, limited to opioids. Many people are prescribed medication on a daily basis and not everyone uses them as they are intended. What happens to the leftover medication? Do people share their medication with other people? Why do people use prescription medication for nonmedical purposes?
